While in Cincinnati a few weeks ago we spent a day at the Newport Aquarium.

The first photo is at a mall we had to walk through to get to the aquarium.

They were apparently ready for a visit from the Easter Bunny.

Of course we can’t go on a trip anywhere without it raining for part of our stay.  That’s just the way our luck runs.

I like the next one because you can see Cade’s reflection in the glass.  I just thought it was cool.

This next guy looks kind of creepy.

This turtle looks a little beat up.  .  .  . and old.

Last year when My Christopher purchased tickets for us to see Taylor Swift here in Indiana he had no idea that Cade really wanted to see her too.

I had asked him if he would like to see Taylor or Miley Cyrus and he chose Taylor.

Well Chris bought two tickets for him and I to see her as a sort of surprise not knowing Cade and I had had any discussion about it.

So I purchased tickets for him and I to see Miley and wasn’t really planning on him knowing Chris and I were going to see Taylor.

So I made him a promise that if she were to perform anywhere close by then I would take him to see her.

Well the tour ended, or so we thought.

Until.  .  .  .  one day I saw somewhere that she had added on more tour dates for 2010 and one was for Cincinnati.

So a couple weeks ago we packed up and headed east.

US Bank Arena is right on the Ohio River.

First Kellie Pickler took the stage.

Then Taylor.

Then the part he asked me about at least 20 million times.

Yes, she got DRENCHED.  What isn’t cool about that?

I’m thankful she dressed appropriately for this part.

I wouldn’t have expected less.

She’s classy that way.

Seriously 5 semi truck trailers to haul around all her stuff.

Chris says there were more around the corner.

.  .  .and just because moving cars at night are cool to take a photo of.

Well Cade thinks so anyway.

.  .  .  and when she’s going this fast

she doesn’t usually have her eyes open.

I think that’s due to the fact that her body moves faster than her brain and on more then one occasion she has crashed into something.

But today we spent the afternoon outside and there was so much to see and do.

Such as .  .  .  .  .  being chased by her boy.

.  .  . and running straight for the Mama with the camera.

Trying to ‘keep away’ from the boy who kept capturing her.

A fun afternoon indeed.

Finally.  .  .  .we have nice weather.

I think it was the first decent weather we have had so far this year when I captured this:

I captured these from the loft window peering down to our back yard.

I believe it was a nice day for homework on the trampoline.

.  .  .and of course I couldn’t photograph Cory doing homework without one of Cade.  He wouldn’t have it.

Not much luck so far. 

Mainly because I can’t bear to see this sad face.

Snow storm number 3 hit today.

So on top of the 6 inches that were left from the most recent storm to hit last week, we added another 6 inches.

For some reason it only snows while I’m working an hour and a half from home.

Since Mom and Dad are spending their winter in southern Texas, Cade stayed with my aunt and uncle overnight.

On my trip home I saw only 1 jack-knifed semi and 1 car that had slipped off the highway

.  .  . and only 1 snow plow.

The road to my Uncle Tim’s home had not been touched so I had to put the Jeep in 4-wheel-drive to get through 2 foot drifts.

When we arrived home Cory, who had been out extremely early to finish his senior project had literally dove into the driveway with his car.

The front end is still buried in the snow.

Can I just say that I love my Jeep.

It managed to get around the stranded car at the end of our driveway not once, but 3 times.

Once when we arrived home.

Again when I had to leave and go get My Christopher who decided to leave his truck in town.

And yet again when we arrived home again.

Maybe tomorrow we’ll get the car unburied.

As yet again.  .  .  we have.  .  .a

This week I got my first piece of mail from Cade.

He’s eight years old.

His class sent out postcards to parents letting them know what they’ve learned so far in school this year.

On Sunday December 27th My Christopher took Cade to his first ever Colts Game.

Not so sure where they are here, but I thought it was pretty cool.

Here are the crazy two in their seats.

GO COLTS!!!  I know it’s a little late now.  You know, seeings how they threw the game and all.

. . .and of course no game is complete without a photo of those yelling ballerinas.

(at least that’s what Cade used to call them, you know back when he was a little guy)

Okay so I know his school is rather small (yes, this is 1st  thru 4th grades), but can you spot him in the photo?

Hint ~ he’s wearing a gray shirt with stripes and is pretty close to the center.  He’s also in front of two little boys that appear to not be paying a bit of attention.

I just love the (not so) little boy towards the front that is wearing the ‘BELIEVE’ t-shirt and appears to be sucking in his cheeks like a fish giving kisses.

This is both third grade classes singing their little hearts out.

I love these kids.  They are a sweet group for the most part, you know minus the one snob that’s in every bunch.

Snobby child’s mother ~ if you’re reading this then shame on you for teaching your child to be so snobby.
