California Here I Come ~ (maybe)
I knew when I married my Christopher that at some point I would be making a trip to California. I mean after all he’s a SoCal boy, definitely a city slicker. Not much of a country boy at all. But then again, I’m a country girl and definitely NOT a city slicker, but it works for us.
Just the thought of a trip to California has had me. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .petrified.
I’ve never been there, never even in my life ever wanted to place even my pinky toe on California soil.
Why?????? You ask. . . .~~ plain and simple ~they have earthquakes there.
So in a mere 5 months time I will be doing something totally unexpected, completely out of character (I don’t usually do things I’m terrified of), and hopefully not detrimental to my life. I will be traveling with my hubby and my youngest son to visit Chris’s family in southern California.
Now Chris’s Mom knows about this fear of mine and mentioned the fact that we have tornadoes here in the midwest to fear. To me there is a huge difference.
With tornadoes you almost always have a warning that they’re coming or that the weather is so that a tornado could form, but with earthquakes they just happen unexpectedly and the earth could crack and swallow you up. . . .dead or alive (the whole buried alive thing is just another one of those fears).
So peeps please keep me in your thoughts over these next 5 months as I try my best to ignore the news and reports of all the earthquakes that happen. . . . . . . .in. . . . .that. . . . .place.
