Tribute Tuesday – My Brother Scott
This is my brother Scott. He is younger than me by 2 years but taller than me by a foot. Yes he’s commonly reffered to as my ginormous baby brother.
As a youngster he was what you would call hyperactive. He wasn’t mean, just full of life and energy. He was one of those kids who was good at any sport he played, so good in fact that he made the high school varsity basketball and baseball teams as a freshman. He even played basketball for his college team in Illinois.
These days he is quite the business man and owns his own heating and air conditioning company servicing many large companies and some residential.
He is the kind of guy who would give you the shirt off his back. Many times he has had to come and save us from the heating woes of this unpredictable (from a weather front) state.
Recently he received a call from a gentleman whose furnace had stopped working. This gentleman (a war veteran) at the time was using space heaters to heat his home, trying his best to keep his family warm and safe during these cold winter months. The man wanted an estimate of what the cost would be to install a new furnace for his home. Scott never gave the man his estimate, he instead installed a new furnace for this family free of charge.
I’m very proud of the compassion he displays towards people in need. Especially in this day and age of economical crisis.
I’m proud to call him “brother”.
