Not Me! Monday

Welcome to Not Me! Monday! This blog carnival was created by MckMama. You can head over to her blog to read what she and everyone else have not been doing this week.

This week:

I did NOT come home from shopping to find a leg bone on my front porch. This was NOT a rather large leg bone from a deer that was obviously left in the woods by a hunter only to be found by my hound dog and dragged up and deposited right in front of the door.

I did NOT less than an hour after getting rid of said bone open the front door and see yet another bone. This one was NOT a foot bone deposited right in front of the door yet again.

My dog does NOT suffer from obsessive compulsive disorder to the point that he brings absolutely everything that should not be in the woods up to our front porch. I do NOT love the fact that he usually brings up every little piece of trash which makes my life easier in that I don’t have to go back and collect this trash myself.

I did NOT twitter about this and not only this but the fact that our forestry is getting a bad name by being the dumping grounds not only for murderers but now obviously the hunters in our area when they have no place else to dispose of their animal carcasses.

This does NOT gross me out in the least.

I did NOT get stung by a wasp in a very private area while making dinner. This is NOT the only time I’ve been stung while preparing a meal in our kitchen. Just last summer I was NOT stung when a wasp flew down my shirt and got into my bra. What is it with these bugs and my girl parts?

I am NOT sitting here in my great room listening to a pack of wild coyotes carry on in my front yard. This is NOT completely freaking out my little doggies and causing them much stress.

My “not so bright” hound dog is NOT sitting on the front porch wondering what in tarnation is going on. Seriously I looked out the window and there he sits eyeing the front yard instead of being the almighty protector he was hired to be. (And I’m wondering what lovely animal carcass will be on my front porch by morning)

I did NOT just link up to Mr. Linky and almost had a heart attack to see myself in one of the top spots. I seriously just came out from getting dressed and ready to shop (talk about good timing). I am now running out the door to grocery shop. I promise to read NMM’s as soon as I’m back.

and i thought it was horrible when my sister’s cat brought a blue bird on her front porch.

  • Cathy

EWWWW! I have NOT found a deer carcass in my yard that my dog did NOT drag up from God knows where. I also did NOT make my son take the carcass off because I was so freaked out.

  • Sparkette

Sounds like a bunch of fun at your house!

  • Mom To Six

Oh my gosh, this city girl would be freaking out listening to coyotes out in her front yard!!

    Ohilda

  • Lori of I’m no super Mom

You are too funny! What is with those bees!!

  • Leah

We found a dead fish in our front yard once… yeah I blogged about it. What else do you do when you find things like that?!

  • Julie

How creepy to find a leg bone! That’s crazy about the wasp! Congrats on being #1! I was checking in all morning until my mom called…it’s all her fault… LOL!

    Have a great Monday!!

  • Stephanie

That reminds me of when my cat used to bring moles and mice to our front door. Occasionally, they would make it inside, too! Yuck!

  • Keyona

I’m freaked out for you! Eww!

  • Heather

I freaked when the cats caught a mouse! God only knows what I would have done with deer parts! Here’s hoping for no more carcasses for you!

  • Hey Mama where’s my…

Yay to you for being #1!! Bees tend to like my face/ears (thank goodness not my girly parts) lol, that is cute. Having a contest that ends tonight, great list, happy Monday!

  • Heidi @ Tayterjaq’s Rebels

Congrats for making the top slot! I have only made it to #7 (which I was totally tickled about) Great not me’s!

  • Kara

Cute blog, loved your ‘not me’s’.
I am thinking, I am glad right now I am not you. No animal bones for me.

  • washedaway

I am thoroughly amused by the talk about horny “WASPs” out in the country side…maybe that’s just the city boy in me.

    poor kimber’s girl parts :(

  • Mikey

since OpenID doesn’t like my blog I had to comment again to get my REAL link through…

Our dogs do the SAME THING!!! We live out in the sticks and we find deer parts alllll over our yard! The saddest is when they bring home tiny baby deer that they obviously caught themselves. Makes me sad!

Anyway, just had to say I feel your pain!!!

  • -stephanie-

at least the animals were dead. My dog once brought me a bird. His wings were still flapping against my dogs face. She was so proud of herself.

Congrats on the #1 Not Me spot.

  • shopannies

love the music on your blog and what a week you had but in the end you were delighted with the spot that you recieved you post made for good reading

  • Angela

Where do you live that you have wasps IN your house? Hmm…I could not handle the coyotes in the front yard OR the carcass remains at the front door so YOU are WOMAN and I hear you roar!

  • Meredith

Oh my word!! You weren’t kidding when you said you had a wasp problem!! Holy cow!

We fell asleep listening to the coyotes the other night… for some reason I love that sound!

  • Samantha

    Haha at your dog!
Well done being #1 on the Not Me links thingy!!
    Great post =)

  • Brandy

Sounds like you had a rough week. Great post!

  • All Things Family

Ewwww…I don’t even know what I’d do if one of my dogs brought an animal piece to our door….the worst we see ours do is eat other animals poo

  • BluRayn

Eeek!! The worst I’ve had to deal with is birds, lizards and rats my cats and dog have given as ‘presents’ over the years!!! Too cute about your dog though!!

  • Sharon

2 bones in one day! Wow, I am surprised the entire beasts carcass wasn’t dragged out for you! :)

    Great post!

  • Alicia

Oh my gosh..the bones would have freaked me out!!!

  • He And Me + 3

The bones thing is so gross, & what in the world are wasps doing in your kitchen and stinging your parts? OUCHY

  • Lana

I found your site from Mckmama. It looks like one I’ll be reading regularly. A good Not Me, Monday!

  • mom24boys

Well, it’s official: I am hooked! I laughed til I cried at your nmm, and that is a feat today, when my 5 month old will NOT nap! Thanks for the pick-me-up!

  • Kameron

I wish I could teach my cat the trash picking up trick. I mostly get dead birds for presents. Sorry ’bout your sting, ouch!

  • pam

    What luck being first!!

I would freak out if I found bones on my step. Great Not Me Monday!!

  • LMP

The last thing I want to find on my door step from my dogs a is a leg bone. The dead pigeons are enough for me.

I love that your dog gets the trash. Now all you need to do is put a trash can out there for him to put it in.

  • Jane Anne

Your dog would not totally freak me out!! Wow- that’s gross. Great post, though.

Check out my Not Me! Monday Post

  • Angella

Oh, my. This next week HAS to be better!

  • blueviolet

That’s gross but at least there was nothing attached to those bones!

  • Candace Jean July 16

Congrats on being #1!! Woo Hoo!

I get grossed out with the dead mice in my garage. I’d probably have the big one if I ever found a BONE. You’re a better woman than I!

  • Leah

Me again, thanks for the comment on my blog today. Lots of similarities between you and me! I married a “Chris from California” a few years ago. My sons play guitar, my best friend’s son’s name is Caden Sutton. Any pictures of your nose piercing? What did your friends and family think? Am I too old? Will it hurt?
I’ll be back for a visit soon. Have a good week.

  • Wayne
