Night of Twilight/PSF
Thursday night my group of friends from work and I met up at Chili’s for cocktails and dinner prior to the Twilight premier.
All of us have been reading the books and were so excited to go to this midnight showing of the movie.
Since we all work the night shift at the hospital it was absolutely no biggie whatsoever to go to a movie at this crazy hour.
Wendy (the pregnant one on the left) hasn’t quite finished the book yet but was definitely up for the movie. She’s our newest groupie as she has been a travel nurse and recently returned home to Indiana. Though not up for the coctails this evening she asked me and I was happy to oblige her by having that second drink on her behalf. Hey I did have to limit myself since I drive over an hour to hook up for these events.
Michelle (The La Push Cliff Diving Team girl) is 1 of 2 that is the most obsessed with Edward in the group. There isn’t anything this girl doesn’t know about the book, the movie, the author, but mostly Edward.
Angie (the one who looks like she’s ignoring the fact I’m taking her photo) is my home girl (not really as no one lives close to me, I live in the middle of the sticks). The lady has been running on “no” sleep most of the week. She just got a new puppy over the weekend and now has a sick little girl at home needing breathing treatments. She is absolutely a hoot both at and away from work. She’s one of those people who can make any topic hilarious and always has us in stitches.
We asked our wonderful waitress to take this photo of us so we could all be in the photo.
Michelle again. I’m sure she was really wanting a photo with Edward, but alas he was a no show and she had to settle with the poster instead.
Jeannie (the only blonde in our group) is obsessed lady number 2. These two together crack me up. They talk of Edward as if he is a personal acquaintance and not a fictional character.
Heather wasn’t able to meet us at Chili’s prior to the movie, but met up with us at the theater. Poor thing has been battling sickness for the past week or so. You can see she doesn’t feel well at all in this photo. We’re so happy she was able to make it out with us (note: I said make IT out, not make out, we don’t swing that way – we’re all Edward lovers, and most of us like our husbands/boyfriends).
Yes, the three of us ordered t-shirts for our night out. I love pink and you can’t really tell, but I even had on pink long-johns because goodness sakes it’s freezing outside and movie theaters to me are usually freezing cold, much the same as our hospital at 3am. Lynn (pretty lady on the right) barely got hers in time, not quite the kind of trouble Michele had with her order though (whole other story). It just took a little longer than anticipated.
Carol (the lady loves brown) is one of those people who is just as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside. I’m quite surprised she even has time to read, let alone finish this book, (she’s very very busy) but she did and I’m so happy she was able to finish prior to this outing.
Mike (our friend in white) got sucked into this Twilight madness before he knew what hit him. He did in fact finish the book and is ready to start number 2 this weekend. He is our favorite security guard at work and we were so happy to have him join us.
Lorraine, we missed you tonight. So sorry you couldn’t make it. There will definitely be a next time.
