Why I’ll Never Shop At WalMart Again – Ever!
Almost 3 months ago I purchased 2 new tires at WalMart for my teenage son’s car. It’s an old car, I didn’t want to fork out a ton of money on a car that may or may not last him another 2 years. The reason I only changed 2 instead of all 4 is because at the time they only had 3 of this particular tire in stock.
I thought I would give them a few weeks and see if they got more in stock, so sometime around week 2 I started calling to check. No, didn’t have them.
I did this about every other week.
Another month later – still only 1 left.
The girl told me I could either check with another store and purchase another one there and bring it in and have them put on both tires, or I could order them online and have them delivered to the store.
I didn’t do either, I decided to wait just a little longer.
Till this week.
(We’re supposedly going to get snow soon and I wanted to be sure he had good tires before the roads got bad.)
Thursday I thought I’d check yet again. Still only 1 tire in stock. So I had the tire/lube guy call another store a half hour away to see if they might by chance have any.
Can you believe it? The other store has 1 in stock also. I asked him if they actually had it on the shelf, or is this just what the computer told them.
He says they do in fact have 1.
Chris and I purchased the 1 tire in Martinsville, drove all the way to Bloomington to get the other and have them put them on.
But guess what?
They didn’t have 1 on the shelf.
I am beyond angry at these people.
I called another store a half hour the other direction from where we live and found out they have 7, and they did check the shelf to find out they do in fact have 7. While speaking to the very nice lady at the Camby store I made good and sure that everyone in the waiting area heard me say quite loudly how incompetent I thought the people at this store were. All the while my Christopher is shushing me and telling me how it’s not the girls fault that helped us. But I DON’T CARE!!!!! I am angry. All because someone was too lazy to do their job.
The next morning we finally got our tires, or Cory’s I suppose.
Note to self: Never ever under any circumstance shop at the Martinsville or Bloomington WalMart.
Right.
