To Him I Am Special/Wordful Wednesday

The following photos were taken at Cades “Special Person’s Day” at school.

Every year Cade’s school has what they call “special person’s day”. It is always on Veterans Day and they can choose to invite the most special person to them. Most children choose a grandparent and many of them are veterans, but this year when I asked Cade if he wanted to invite his Grandpa again this year his response was: “no mommy I just want you”.

It makes me so happy that he is still at an age where “mommy” is the most important person in his life. I know my time to be awarded this recognition is very limited as he is growing up so fast and will soon feel that friends are more important to him than hanging out with mom. . . .and heaven forbid he give hugs and kisses in front of them.

He is still my snuggly cuddle bug at this age and still chooses to sleep in my bed when Chris is working the night shift. I take advantage of every snuggle, cuddle, hug and kiss and only wish I could sometimes pause this moment in time.

That looks wonderful, what a thoughtful boy. I still think of my mom like that sometimes. Mothers are God’s gifts of comfort to a family. I really was touched by this post for some reason great photos.

Know what? Moms always remain the most important person in their lives. :)

That’s awesome. I still get such a thrill when my 5yo embraces me and snuggly time because there are moments here and there he doesn’t want to be bothered. And that’s ok too because I know he’s balanced. But it’s oh so sweet when they want us.

Aw…how sweet that he wanted YOU. Hold onto that treasure as moms seem to go in and out of fashion. We are always tried and true though!
