A Veterans Day Tribute
I suppose you could say that I fall into the same category as many Americans in that I tend to sometimes forget about or maybe even take for granted the many freedoms we have in our country.
If it weren’t for the wonderful men and women of our armed forces we wouldn’t have the many comforts we have today.
So on this day I’d like to say a big “Thank You” to these people. Those currently fighting for our country and those who fought in previous wars to award us this wonderfully free nation that we call home.
The above photo is of my Dad. He fought in Vietnam. The photo is of him on the day of his marriage to my Mom.
I’d also like to mention the following family members that were also war veterans:
-
My Grandfather – Roy Davis – US Army (WWII)
-
My Grandfather – Beryl Elmore – US Navy (WWII)
and the following friend:
-
Christopher Webb – US Army (Operation Desert Storm)
To these people again I THANK YOU!!
