This Weekend. . . .
**Update – It appears we won’t be able to see Celine Sunday night after all. She has a throat infection and the concert has been postponed until December 21st. I’m bummed.
This weekend I will be:
* Working the night shift in the NICU taking care of premature babies on Friday.
* After leaving work Saturday morning and picking up hubby at his hospital we will go to Cade’s very last soccer game of the season. Thankfully it’s at 9am so we will get some sleep during the day.
* Again – working the night shift on Saturday night.
* After a short nap on Sunday I will be picking up my Mom then meeting up with my girlfriend to go to a concert. I’m very excited. She’s very excited. I think Mom is very excited. . . .well, I hope she’s excited anyway. She doesn’t get out much.
Just kidding.
She just doesn’t like going places with big crowds.
Hey, I used to suffer from this same problem. Over the years I seem to have gotten over it.
And actually she goes places all the time now.
She camps, she meets up with her lady friends for her sewing club weekly. Heck just last week my Dad dumped her off on the side of the road to be picked up by her friend Judy to attend a sewing conference.
Again. . . .just kidding.
He called me before 8am last Saturday while I was driving home from work, which he never does. So when I worriedly answered he just started chatting and chatting and told me he just dropped her off to attend her conference. I of course had no clue what her exact plans were. I know she hates driving in Indianapolis and I was pretty sure he didn’t drive her all the way into town so when I asked him where exactly he dropped her off his response was: “right outside of Plainfield”. Nowhere in his response did he mention the fact that he dropped her off to ride in with her friend. So I thought I would be clever and asked him this: “what did you do Dad, drop her off on the side of the road somewhere?” He just laughed and laughed. Not funny.
So who are we going to see?????
. . . . . .and if Christopher wasn’t working all weekend also we would be celebrating.
Celebrating the fact that he interviewed and was chosen for a dedicated PICU position at his job.
Since he works in a children’s hospital what this means is that he works in the intensive care unit for children.
Congratulations honey.
