Have I Mentioned I Hate My Internet Service?
Okay so the title about sums it all up.
I’ve never in all my years of using internet heard of “Fair Access Policy”. This means that even though I pay close to $100 per month for internet I can still only download/upload a total of 425mb per day. When you reach this total they slow your internet speed down to dial-up speeds. So for the next 24 hours you are limited to surfing (or whatever it is you do on the internet) at a snails pace.
When you’re a blogger or a scrapbooker this really stinks. Even though I resize my photos for uploading to the internet I very often go over my threshold.
Yesterday I went to my internet provider site and checked to see how much it would cost me in penalties to break my contract with them. I was seriously considering paying this fee if it was only a few hundred dollars. No such luck. Try more than double that.
So I’m stuck. Another year of frustration. Of course I could always force myself to be up between the hours of 3am and 6am when you don’t have to abide by these policies. You can do unlimited downloads/uploads between these hours.
Hey, I’m a night shift worker. I can handle that.
