Travel, Travel, Travel
This week has been the week for vacations, excursions, and just regular everyday travel for some of us. Sunday morning at the crack of dawn my parents were up, packing up their camper and heading west. They really hadn’t planned a huge vacation this year with the price of gas being what it is, just a 1-2 week jaunt somewhere close by. That was until my Dad started receiving disability. Mind you he had to get cancer to get said disability, but when the Veterans Administration figured out about this they cut him a gigantic check to back pay him from January till now. It was so huge in fact he said he felt like cashing it and filling his bathtub with the bills and jumping in. I think he was joking. Maybe. . . .or was he? Well anyhow, they decided their little “jaunt” will now be for 6 weeks and who knows where they’ll end up. All I know is as of Sunday night they had made it to somewhere near Des Moines, Iowa.
Later Sunday morning Chris and his friend Dan packed up and headed to Chicago. I got Chris tickets for his birthday to see the Cubs play baseball. The following are photos from his trip there:
Not really sure, but this looks like a church, an old church.
I think this guy is pretty amusing. Notice his feet don’t even reach the floor of his carriage.
