What Cade Learned in First Grade
Last year while Cade was in first grade, I had the privilege of helping out in his classroom every Monday. Privilege you ask? If you only knew how entertaining it could be. You will understand once I explain the photo that follows. Okay, remember they’re first graders, most of them don’t know how to read that well, not to mention form sentences and paragraphs. So this piece of work done sometime during semester 2 is an example of my then 6 year old writing about the life cycle of a butterfly. Hey that’s science too. They learned a lot that year. Okay I see here that there’s 4 sentences forming a paragraph. First butterflies can lay eggs, and they definitely do. These eggs turn into caterpillars. Then on to sentence 3, mind you we called them coccoons back when I was in elementary school, but anyway it says they turn into pupa – WHAT? That does not say pupa. Look for yourself. ~giggle-giggle~
