Well, I can honestly say that I never know what to expect upon waking in the morning. Â We have this crazy dog that just loves going on adventures in the woods and loves even more bringing us whatever he finds on these adventures. Â Some mornings it’s only sticks and tree bark, but if we’re really lucky he cleans up the woods by bringing all pop cans, beer cans, plastic wrappers, baseballs, golf balls, he even brought us a lighter one day. Â I usually try to be up early enough that if by chance we were to ever have visitors I’ll have had a chance to clean off the front porch before people think our home may need to be condemned. Â Today I discovered where all these things may be coming from. Â I believe we may have trespassers partying it up back in the forestry.
This evening, I decided to go for a little hike back in the woods. Â It was a beautiful evening with temperatures in the mid-70′s so why not? Â Of course Cade and my 4 crazy dogs had to come along. Â I took photos which mostly appear to be blurry because of the darkness unfortunately. Â It was fairly late with not much sunlight left and I didn’t think to bring my tripod to prevent such blurriness (hard to keep steady hands on a hike obviously). Â Anyway, you’ll get the idea I hope of what we saw.
The beginning of our hike, Phoebe is lagging way behind the others.
Of course Cade has to take the lead. Â That’s a bad case of bed head. Â No more night time showers for him.
There’s Abby way in the lead trying to figure our where Tucker has gone.
There’s a huge vine growing up that tree that needs cut badly before it pulls the tree over.
I just love this big old tree, it’s one of the tallest ones in the woods.
Okay, Tucker found it, I believe this little place where someone built a fire is where all the trash is coming from that Tucker brings to our porch. Â I found a couple more cans, a lighter and a partially burned pack of cigars.
This is the clearing, and a perfect camping spot so a mighty big party could happen right here.
Cade found an unopened can of root beer, so I think it may have been a teen party, which I really don’t understand. Â Why do you have to be sneaky if all your drinking is root beer? Â Hey don’t get me wrong I’m not complaining about anyone drinking root beer, I sure wouldn’t want teens drinking the other kind of beer back in our woods.
On our way back, Hunni really enjoyed this adventure. Â
Obviously they’re all much quicker than I am. Â Not a single one in sight.
