He’s Growing Up
Cade recently turned seven years old, so I figured it was probably time for him to learn how to shower all by himself. Of course he’s been all for it for quite some time, but I don’t think I was quite ready to let him be so independent. He still loved to play in the bathtub with his numerous toys and water guns, or maybe it was just me wanting him to remain my baby forever, so I forced him to play with the rubber duckies and the ancient and quite tattered Blues Clues toy from when he was a baby. Regardless of the reasons I’ve noticed over the past few months that his time in the bathtub was becoming less and less. So for the past two weeks he’s been learning to wash his hair and scrub -a-dub – dub with me on the sidelines reminding him to scrub here and not to miss there and by all means never ever miss your belly button, because there’s nothing more gross than a dirty belly button. He’s doing great and here are a few photos of him relishing in the victory of his newfound independence.
But regardless of what Chris or anyone else says – he’s still my baby and he ALWAYS will be.
